To combat fuel poverty in the privately owned and rented homes in England, the government has launched the WARM FRONT SCHEME. The Warm front scheme was first started in June 2000 and it is managed by eaga (eaga is a leading outsourcing company which is the largest suppliers of heating and renewable energy).

The Warm Front Scheme will provide you with a package of insulation and/or heating measures up to a maximum value of £3,500 (or £6,000 where oil, low carbon or renewable technologies are recommended), less the value of all works previously completed in the property under the Warm Front.

• Insulation improvements

Under the Warm Front Scheme you can get insulation grants such as Loft insulation, Draughtproofing, Cavity-wall insulation & Hot-water-tank insulation

• Heating improvements

When it comes to heating grants you can get Gas, electric or oil central heating, Repairs to your exiting heating, Converting a solid-fuel open fire to a glass-fronted fire & Some homes that need oil central heating may receive a grant of up to £6000
